Our Story

Josh Martoglio has cherished this secluded region within the Shoshone National Forest since his youth. He created Shoshone Lodge Outfitters in 2008, then nearly ten years later, he acquired the camp and established Trails West Outfitters. Over the past half-decade, he's led numerous guided hunts and welcomed individuals, families, and friends to partake in a truly unparalleled adventure.

Over the past three years, Laci Martoglio, Josh's wife, has actively advocated for exclusively female pack trips. Witnessing a diverse assembly of individuals, coming from various corners of the nation, come together for a week in the mountains and forge a connection unlike any other travel experience is undeniably remarkable.
